About

The Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon is a not-for-profit locally owned and operated race weekend that consists of a marathon, half marathon, team relay, 5k and kid’s fun run. The race was established in 2016 when community organizations came together with the mindset of creating a professional event that would have a positive impact and benefit our local community.

The Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon Race Weekend has seven key initiatives integrated into our planning process. These initiatives represent the qualities and characteristics of why we host this event for the Chattanooga region:

  • Produce a quality community health and wellness tool
  • Demonstrate innovation through health and human performance research
  • Promote activity while showcasing our beautiful outdoor destination
  • Invite visitors to experience Chattanooga through this destination celebration
  • Execute an event sustainability initiative with continuous improvement annually
  • Amplify the arts and culture within our Scenic City
  • Utilize the weekend as a community not-for-profit charitable initiative

Through the combined efforts of our community partners, volunteers, spectators and racers, we have been able to create a vibrant “Race Weekend” full of energy and excitement! Chattanooga Sports is committed to producing the Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon Weekend annually in order to maximize the weekend experience within our Chattanooga region. Please join us and experience 2024!
